Ages 5–9 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Beginner-friendly | No prior experience required Includes camp t-shirt, daily photo updates, and final showcase. 🌬 Wind Week – Breath & Sound Lab July 20–24, 2026 Part of Kids Academy (Ages 5–9) No experience required. Wind Week is all about breath, airflow, and discovering how air becomes music. This week invites young explorers to experiment with sound in a playful, hands-on environment. Students will explore recorders, simple wind instruments, and creative sound-making tools while learning how breath control creates pitch, tone, and musical expression. From soft whispers of air to strong, focused tones, children experience how their own breath powers the music. Who This Week Is For • Children ages 5–9 • No prior music experience needed • Curious learners who love experimenting • Kids who enjoy science, creativity, and hands-on discovery What Students Will Experience ✔ Daily breath games and airflow challenges ✔ Exploration of beginner-friendly wind instruments ✔ Understanding how pitch changes with air speed and finger placement ✔ Creative sound experiments (including fun instrument-building moments) ✔ Crafts connected to airflow, vibration, and resonance ✔ Choir and solfège to strengthen pitch and listening ✔ Circle rehearsal preparing for a final performance Students explore both individual sound-making and group ensemble playing each day. Through structured exploration, children develop: • Breath control and coordination • Listening and pitch awareness • Focus and body awareness • Confidence using their voice and instruments Wind Week helps children understand that music begins with something simple and powerful — their breath. It’s science, creativity, and musicianship combined in an exciting and joyful learning experience.
