About Our Founder
Gala Yaroshevsky, a distinguished music educator and conductor, was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and began her musical journey at the age of nine. By thirteen, she was accepted into a special music school for gifted children, and by seventeen, she was a member of the prestigious national opera orchestra of Uzbekistan. She earned her degree in Performing Arts from the Tashkent State Conservatory, where she also won several regional and national flute competitions.
In 1997, Gala moved to the United States, where she has since built a remarkable career in music education. She is the founder and director of Orange Music Studio in San Jose, California, which she established in 2005. The studio offers a wide range of musical instruction, from piano to percussion, and is known for its vibrant community and dedication to fostering both technical skill and a love of music in students of all ages. Gala's approach to teaching combines her classical Soviet training with a passion for modern music education, helping her students achieve high levels of success in various music competitions.
In addition to her work at Orange Music Studio, Gala founded Gifted Youth USA in 2020, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing children together through music and life skills. She has also served as a conductor for the San Jose Youth Symphony and is an active member of the Music Teacher Association of California and the National Flute Association. Her dedication to music education extends to her role on the board of the California Concerto Festival, which supports amateur adult pianists.
Gala's influence in the Bay Area music community is profound, and her work continues to inspire young musicians to reach their full potential.

Among our many offerings is the Magic Orchestra, which welcomes young musicians aged 9-16 to experience the excitement of performing in a modern ensemble that blends classical and contemporary music. For those who excel in flute, our Flute Choir offers an advanced platform for masterful flutists to collaborate and refine their skills. This program is tailored for young musicians who are ready to take their artistry to the next level, providing them with the opportunity to perform in a focused, high-level ensemble setting.
Our Piano Lab is designed specifically for younger children, ages 6-9, offering an engaging introduction to piano in a group setting. This program encourages peer learning and interaction, helping young pianists build their skills while fostering a love for music in a fun and supportive environment.
In addition to these programs, Gifted Youth USA is proud to offer a Rock Band program, where students can explore their passion for modern music, learn to play in a band setting and perform popular songs. This program is perfect for those who enjoy contemporary music and want to experience the thrill of playing in a live band.
